Pork Belly Fried Rice is one of my family’s go-to dinners. It’s quick and easy to put together, super meaty from the big chunks of pork belly, and so good even with simple Asian ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl Cooked Rice
  • Pork Belly As much as you like
  • Salt and Pepper To taste
  • 1 tbsp Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • Sesame Seeds For garnish
  • 1 pc Egg Yolk For garnish

Instructions

  • In a heated pan, place the pork belly without oil because it will still render some fat.
  • Allow the pork to render some fat and brown at the bottom, then season with salt, pepper, garlic, and soy sauce.
  • Stir fry until the pork belly is cooked and lightly golden brown.
  • Make a bed of the pork belly, then add rice and butter in the middle.
  • Season rice with sesame oil and oyster sauce, then break the rice and mix thoroughly.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and egg yolk, then mix again thoroughly.
  • Serve with perilla leaves and enjoy!
