Just like the watermelon, pineapple is another fruit that’s very intimidating to cut. So today, I’m going to share with you guys the fastest and easiest way to do it. It’s so quick and easy that I was even able to do it while taking care of Carter!! Take extra caution if you’re going to copy me though~ Kakaka
As I’ve mentioned before, whenever you are cutting something, especially this hard and big, you should do it with a sharp knife so it cuts through easily. Using a dull knife is the most dangerous thing you can do!!
Step 1. Cut the ends of the pineapple. You have to remove them, especially the bottom so that the pineapple can stand firm and not wobble.
Step 2. Remove the rinds on all sides.
Step 3. Clean up the remaining bits of rinds or “the eyes” of the pineapple.
This is where it gets really controversial. I’m pretty sure people in the comments sections will have tons of opinions saying I’m doing it wrong because I’m cutting out way too much pineapple and wasting it, or that I’m leaving in way too many rinds and I should cut it out.
But you know at the end of the day, this is just my way, the fastest and easiest way in my opinion. Take out the rind or eat the rind, that’s really up to you.
Step 4. Cut the pineapple in half. Take one-half of the pineapple and cut it into thirds or quarters.
Step 5. Lay one-third or a quarter of the pineapple flat, then cut out the core. Do it to all the cuts of pineapple. You can eat the core or throw it out, that’s also up to you.
Step 6. Serving Tip #1: Take the thirds/quarters of the pineapple and chop it into bite-size pieces.
Serving Tip #2: Take the thirds/quarters of the pineapple, lay it on the chopping board, and stick it on a skewer so you have pineapple popsicles. Be careful with those skewers, especially when you’re giving them to kids!
