Yo, this is how we cut watermelon in the restaurant! Watermelon is so refreshing!! We even serve this as a dessert after our customers finish their food and they all enjoy it. But honestly, preparing it can be VERY intimidating. So today Imma show you how we do it, and it may not be your cuppa tea, but just trust me!
TIP: The most dangerous thing you can do is to cut watermelon with a dull knife. That is an accident waiting to happen!! We don’t want none of that SO make sure that when you do this, you are doing it with a sharp knife so it cuts through easily!
Step 1. Cut the edges of the watermelon.
Step 2. Place the watermelon right side up and cut it in half. You can do one side at a time so it’s easier.
Step 3. Cut the half of the watermelon into quarters.
Step 4. Take one-quarter of the watermelon and make two incisions in the rim. Make sure not to cut all the way through. Trust me on this!!!
Step 5. Cut off the rinds on the two sides while leaving the middle rind. This way we’re not wasting any watermelon!
Step 6. Now you can chop it up into individual pieces and you’re gonna have a bite-size watermelon with a handle! Boom!
