This Samyang Buldak Ramen Fried Rice recipe is one of the ways to take instant ramen up a notch. It’s budget-friendly, it’s easy to make, and it definitely hits the spot!
If you’ve been following me, you know that I LOVE fried rice. I’ve done so many recipes of it with different proteins and flavors and everybody just loves them. Coming up with instant ramen fried rice is honestly a no-brainer, but what you’re about to see is fried rice with a kick!
Samyang Buldak Ramen
Samyang is the creator of the spicy ramen that has gone viral over the past few years. Aside from the x2, x3, and x4 Spicy Buldak Ramen, they also have different flavors like Tomato Paste, Kimchi, Corn, Jajang, Carbonara, Mala, Curry, Cheese and so much more!!! All of these are some of our favorite flavors but they are packaged in ramen with a spicy kick~
They recently launched their newest flavor, Habanero Lime, and you know we’re going to try that jawn out! This ramen has extraordinary spice with big zest. It has the same kick but with just the right tanginess to match it. You can buy this Buldak Ramen and all their other products at any local HMart near you!
Why You’ll Love Ramen Fried Rice
- Rice and buldak ramen are the perfect complements. Rice mixed with ramen noodles is very common among Koreans, and it’s one of my favorite things. With buldak ramen, while it stays spicy no matter what you eat it with, rice makes it just a little bit more manageable to consume.
- With very simple and common ingredients, it is a burst of texture and flavor. Rice is fluffy, ramen is a bit crunchy, and the oyster sauce and gochujang are some of the agents that will bring this fried rice wonders!
- It hits the spot without breaking the bank. Simple meals like this keep me going. When you’re craving for SPICY spicy food, you should definitely try this out and it won’t take much time or money to satisfy your cravings asap!
Ingredients for Ramen Fried Rice

- Rice. To avoid soggy fried rice, use day-old rice. When it’s been placed in the fridge, it dries up and gets easier to crumble and mix in the pan.
- Ramen. This recipe is actually amenable to any ramen you prefer, but I tried Samyang Habanero Lime Buldak Ramen on its own and it got me oooh-ing! I love it! But ya’ll know we just have to take it up a notch!
- Scallion and Onion. These are basic aromatics I put in any fried rice. It’s quick to prepare and fragrant when sauteed in oil!
- Egg. We don’t have any other protein in this dish except for eggs. This is a cost-saving add-on to any fried rice you cook!
- Oyster Sauce. This will bring more flavor and umami to the dish. We don’t need to put any more salt, but this definitely suffices.
- Sesame Oil and Sesame Seeds. For a nutty and earthy finish to the fried rice. This complements the spice of the spicy ramen.
- Jalapeno Pepper and Korean Red Pepper Paste. Don’t say I didn’t warn you when I said that the ramen is already super spicy. However, I like to add jalapeno and red pepper paste (gochujang) so that it just hits that spicy spot that I am craving. Add these according to your spice tolerance!
Tips for Making Spicy Ramen Fried Rice
- When chopping up the recipes, use gloves when handling the chili, and use what hack you have when slicing up the onions. This recipe got me crying! However, if you’re lazy, you can skip these and just use the dried vegetables that come with the instant ramen.
- You can switch jalapeno peppers to any other peppers available to you. If you like it SPICY spicy, don’t remove the seeds or add more pepper. Add according to your preference and tolerance.
- For the protein, you can add any protein of your choice. I like it simple, so I only used eggs. However, you can use chicken, pork belly, spam, or any leftover meat you have.
- Toast the fried rice a little bit more after mixing everything to have that extra texture of crunch. While you’re at it, make sure to have ventilation because the steam is definitely going to sting~
- Make sure to have water or milk with you when eating, just in case you need it. Again, this ramen fried rice is HOT hot! Oooh!
