Disclaimer: I get a small commission at no additional cost to you when you make a qualified purchase under the affiliate links.
- Eggs – The main ingredient; you can use as much as you like, but two pieces are enough for 2 servings.
- Extra Soft Tofu – Extra soft or soft tofu is suitable for the dish; make sure to get freshly manufactured tofu so it does not have a funky smell.
- Scallions – Aromatics for freshness and fragrance
- Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil – This is a simple sauce combination where all the savor and umami will come from!
- Sesame Seeds – For garnish
Handling Soft Tofu

This dish may be simple, but handling tofu requires extra care as it is delicate and easily breaks. You’ll need a sharp knife for this.

If you’re using soft tofu encased in a tube, slice the seal on one end, then gently squeeze the tofu from the other end onto a plate. It should slide off very quickly.
If you’re using soft tofu in a rectangular package, remove the seal by slicing the four sides of the cover. Remove the plastic seal and cover the tofu with a plate, flip, then do a gentle shimmy, and the tofu should slide right off the packaging.
Once the tofu is transferred to a plate, it is ready for use. It may water down a bit; simply drain before use.
There’s no real need to cook this—you can essentially make Tofu Banchan with it, but do try the recipe below; I hope you enjoy it!
How to Make Eggs and Tofu?

Prepare the ingredients: Chop the scallions, beat the eggs, and slice the tofu into 1-inch thick pieces.

Cook the Tofu and Eggs: Place the pan on high heat, add oil, and sauté the scallions until fragrant. Add the tofu, spread it out evenly, and let it sit for a minute to absorb the flavor of the scallions. Add the eggs and gently fold them until the eggs are cooked.

Season the Dish: Place the Eggs and Tofu on a plate, then drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil on top. Garnish with sesame seeds, serve, and enjoy!
Recipe Tips:
- As you fold the eggs, keep them spread out evenly in the pan so it cooks faster. Use a spatula so you can carefully do this.
- If the tofu breaks, don’t worry! Honestly, the dish in general does not really look pretty, but it will still be delicious!
- You can also add some fish sauce or oyster sauce to the dish for more flavor.
Serving Egg and Tofu

This dish can be served by itself with freshly cooked rice. It’s going to be simple but oh-so-satisfying! Nevertheless, since this is protein-packed already, you can also serve this with Stir-fried Zucchini, Stir-fried Bok Choy, or Broccoli Banchan.
No more storage instructions for this, as this is best consumed when freshly cooked and I’m sure you won’t have any leftovers! Yeobosayo!
